Remittance of 50 Million MRO to 40 Women Collectives within the Program “My Priorities Extended”

The Minister of Social Affairs, Children and Family, Mme Naha Mint Haroune Ould Cheikh Sidiya, presided today, Friday, in Nouakchott , the ceremony of funds distribution to women entrepreneurship of an umbrella worth 50 million MRO designated for 40 collectives .And that within the program of the President of the Republic H.E M. Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani “My Priorities Extended”.
Funds are dispatched between seven collective projects dealing with food security in six municipalities: Nouadhibou, Toujounine, Riyad, Rosso, Boulenouar et Boutilimit. These cash money is within the frame of woman empowerment to productivity scale. And it participates into the increase of local production of food stuffs; also develop the well beings of certain vulnerable families.

In a speech pronounced on the occasion, the Minister confirmed the women empowerment, protection of their rights, preschool education and integration special needs persons are the priorities mentioned in the President of the Republic program “My Priorities Extended”.

She added that the department is operating on a six dimensional program targetting the promotion of women entrepreneurship, people with disabilities, and protection of their rights and extension of maternal education to the most vulnerable families.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Employment, Youth and Sports, M. Taleb Ould Sid Ahmed and the general secretary of the ministry of Social Affairs,Children and Family.
