President of Republic Returns From Washington

On 17 December, The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, returned to Nouakchott from Washington (USA) after participating in the work of the US-Africa Leaders Summit.
The President of the Republic was welcomed at Nouakchott International Airport (Oumtounsy) by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister Counsellor at the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministers of Justice, National Defense, the Interior and Decentralization, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, and the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the Head of State, as well as the Wali of Western Nouakchott and the President of the Regional Council of the capital.

The following large delegation accompanied the President of the Republic during this visit:

– Ms. Mariem Mint Dah, the First Lady;

– Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad;

– Mr. Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors;

– Mr. Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Oil, Energy, and Mines;

– Ms. Lalia Kamara, the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development;

– Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic;

– Ms. Cisse Mint Cheikh Ould Boida, our Ambassador in Washington;

– Mr. Ahmed Ould Bah, a.k.a. Hmeyda, an adviser at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Ahmed Ould Bahenni, an officer in charge of special duties at the Presidency;

– Mr. El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
