On 17 December, The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, returned to Nouakchott from Washington (USA) after participating in the work of the US-Africa Leaders Summit.
The President of the Republic was welcomed at Nouakchott International Airport (Oumtounsy) by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister Counsellor at the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministers of Justice, National Defense, the Interior and Decentralization, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, and the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the Head of State, as well as the Wali of Western Nouakchott and the President of the Regional Council of the capital.
The following large delegation accompanied the President of the Republic during this visit:
