Minister of Economic Affairs Discusses Expanding Partnership with the Director of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Abdallahi Souleyman Sheikh Sidia, held a discussion session, Thursday, at the headquarters of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in the Kuwaiti capital with the Director General of the Fund, His Excellency Mr. Walid Shumlan Al-Bahar, accompanied by a number of his senior associates.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to the brotherly State of Kuwait, its leadership and government, and to the Kuwait Fund for its continuous support of our country’s development journey, specifically highlighting the qualitative participation of the Director General of the Fund in the launch ceremony of the project to supply the city of Kiffa with drinking water, which is considered one of the major structural projects initiated by the government of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Djai, in line with the high directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic.

The meeting also discussed in detail the files of joint cooperation and the status of the existing project portfolio, where the Director of the Kuwaiti Fund expressed the institution’s full readiness to support and finance vital projects through the Fund’s various channels, in addition to playing the role of stimulator and supporter for Mauritania within the Arab Coordination Group.
