Senegalese Armies Chief of Staff Visits National Museum

On 12 December, Brigadier General Habiboullah Ahmedou, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, accompanied by General Cheikh Wade, the Chief of the General Staff of the Senegalese Armies, paid a visit to the headquarters of the National Museums Foundation in Nouakchott, as part of the latter’s working visit to Mauritania.
The delegation visited the various pavilions of the National Museum, where the officials of this ancient national cultural institution gave them detailed explanations of all the contents and archaeological monuments and objects, some of which date back to before the advent of Islam and civilizations that have succeeded on this earth and of course before the emergence of the modern Mauritanian state.
The contents of the National Museum also give an idea of the pioneering role played by the scholars of Bilad Chinguitt through the ages in spreading the eternal message of Islam in various parts of the world and particularly in Africa.
