Employment Minister Receives AfDB Delegation

On 7 November, in Nouakchott, Mr. Niang Mamoudou, the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, received a delegation from the African Development Bank (AfDB) led by Mr. Usama Abdelkarim.
The meeting focused on the activities being carried out as part of the launch of the employability and social and economic complementarity project for young people in a difficult situation, which covers the entire Wilaya of Brakna.
The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of life of unemployed young people aged 15 to 24, who have not completed their education or benefited from vocational or technical training, particularly the youth of Brakna.
The project will seek to develop the technical and professional skills of young people by technically and financially supporting the initiators of the projects and the actors in the field of the promotion of IT services.
The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the area of vocational training, in response to the Department’s new vision.
