Minister of Agriculture Receives Secretary General of Khalifa International Award for Date Palm

The meeting which brought together the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Adama Bocar Soko, on Thursday in his office, with the Secretary General of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, was the opportunity to discuss the relationship between the two brotherly countries and the International Festival of Mauritanian Dates, which represents the fruit of cooperation between the Department of Agriculture and the Khalifa Award.

The meeting discussed the expected results and expectations of the festival, particularly in terms of the exchange of expertise and experiences between national and international experts.
The Secretary General of the Khalifa International Award for the Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation expressed the willingness of his institution to support Mauritania’s efforts aimed at developing the date sector by training producers on the techniques of cultivation of date palms and by supporting infrastructure for the storage and processing of dates.
