Madrid: U.S. Praises Mauritania’s Human Rights Efforts

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, met Wednesday, on the sidelines of the NATO Summit, with the U.S. Secretary of State, Mr. Antony Blinken.

During the meeting, both parties expressed their will to develop cooperation between the two countries to serve the interests of their friendly people.

The U.S. Secretary of State praised Mauritania?s important strides in the field of human rights, deeming the country as central partner in regional security.
