Minister of Agriculture Receives WB Regional Director of Operations

On 1 June in Nouakchott, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Adama Bocar Soko, received a World Bank (WB) mission led by Mr. Natham Belete, its regional Director of Operations. During the meeting, the minister insisted on the Government’s objectives in terms of food security and support for research, training, and extension.

In turn, the WB?s regional director of operations welcomed the improvements observed in the implementation of projects financed by the Bank in Mauritania before renewing the availability of his institution to support the agricultural sector until meeting our country’s agricultural development needs.
