During a briefing on 31 March at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, Mr. Yahya Ould Ahmed El Waqf, the Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic, announced the new government formation.
Here is the text of the announcement:
“To raise the effectiveness of government performance in general, especially with regard to improving the conditions of citizens, reforming the administration, improving the quality and level of comprehensiveness of services, and bringing them closer to the citizen to enable them to perform all their transactions, fulfill all their rights easily, smoothly, and with dignity to establish the priority and precedence of citizenship over all other considerations,
To give a new impetus to the government apparatus to increase its dynamism, in terms of speed and quality in implementing the public policies and development programs provided for in the “My Commitments” program, and to enhance youth participation in decision-making and management of public affairs, His Excellency appointed, upon a proposal of the Prime Minister, the following personalities:
