Guinea Bissau President Makes Technical Stopover at Nouakchott Airport

On 14 March, His Excellency Umaro Sissoco Embalo, the President of the Republic of Guinea Bissau, made a technical stopover at Nouakchott Oumtounsy international airport.

He was welcomed at the airport by His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, surrounded by the Prime Minister, Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud.
The Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister Counselor at the Presidency of the Republic, some members of the government, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Western Nouakchott, the President of the regional council of Nouakchott and Guinea- Bissau’s Ambassador and Charge d’Affaires were also present.

After the welcoming ceremony, the President of the Republic and his distinguished guest went to the Airport’s VIP lounge, where they had talks in the presence of members of the two delegations. The talks focused on the different areas of cooperation between the two brotherly countries. The two parties also reviewed some regional and international issues of common interest.
