Mauritanian Ambassador to Canada Presents Credentials

On 10 March, HE Mr. Sidi Baham Mohamed Laghdaf presented to Her Excellency Marie Simon, the Governor-General of Canada, the letters accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mauritania to Canada, with residence in New York. The credentials’ presentation took place via videoconference.

During the presentation of the credentials, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to Her Excellency Marie Simon, emphasizing the aspiration of the leadership of our country to deepen relations cooperation and friendship between Mauritania and Canada.

In turn, the Governor-General of Canada requested His Excellency the Ambassador to convey her greetings to His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani and expressed her willingness to work to strengthen cooperation between Canada and Mauritania.
