President of Republic Arrives in Banjul

On 18 January, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived in Banjul where he will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Gambian President, His Excellency Mr. Adama Barrow.

His Excellency was welcomed at Banjul International Airport by his Gambian counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Adama Barrow, accompanied by the Vice-President of the Republic, members of the Gambian government, and the Mauritanian Ambassador in Banjul. The Mauritanian colony in the Gambia reserved a triumphal welcome to the President of the Republic, carrying the national flag and brandishing his portraits.
