Health Minister Receives WHO Representative

On 18 January, the Minister of Health, Mr. Sidi Ould Zahaf, received in Nouakchott, the resident representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) to Mauritania, Ms. Charlotte Faty Ndiaye.

The meeting discussed the field of cooperation between Mauritania and the WHO, particularly in the field of fighting against COVID-19 in light of the new wave that is characterized by the emergence of the “Omicron” mutant.

They also reviewed, the fields that are a priority for the ministry, particularly in health care reform, medication, equipment, maintenance, and technical support.
