President of Republic, Algerian Counterpart Supervise Signing of Bilateral Cooperation Agreements

On 28 December, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and his Algerian counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, supervised, in Algiers, the signing ceremony of several bilateral agreements to strengthen cooperation in the fields of higher education, health, vocational training, and microbusiness.

The first two agreements were signed by Ms. Amal Mint Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdallahi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and her Algerian counterpart Abdelbaki Benziane.

The first agreement concerns an executive program of cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024, while the second relates to cooperation in the fields of higher education and of scientific research.

The third agreement was signed by Mr. Taleb Ould Sid’Ahmed, the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, and Mr. Yacine Merabi, the Algerian Minister of Vocational Education and Training.

Regarding the fourth agreement, it was signed by Mr. Taleb Ould Sid’Ahmed, the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, and Mr. Nassim Diafat, the Algerian Minister delegated to the Prime Minister in charge of Microbusiness.

The agreements signed between Mauritania and Algeria included a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the health field.

It was signed by Mr. Taleb Ould Sid’Ahmed, the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, and the Algerian Minister of Health, Mr. Abderrahman Benbouzeid.

The signing ceremony was attended by members of the two accompanying delegations.
