The President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, returned, Friday afternoon, to Nouakchott, after he paid a two-day working visit to the region of Guidimagha.
Within the framework of this visit, His Excellency inaugurated, this morning in Selibabi, a new road station that includes administrative buildings for the representatives of the Land Transport Authority, trade unions, security services, a parking and other facilities.
The cost of this station, which was built by the Iskan company for the Ministry of Equipment and Transport, amounted to MRO 90 million at the expense of the Mauritanian state budget.
Meanwhile, the President of the Republic gave the go-ahead for building the urban road network in the city of Selibabi, within the framework of the project to extend and modernize the city.
The length of the road network is 10 km and shall be completed in a period of time not exceeding 10 months, while the total cost of the project amounts to MRO 360 million.
Within the framework of the same project, His Excellency inaugurated, Friday, the completed School No. 13 and laid the foundation stone for the construction of a secondary school in the city.
The total cost of building School No. 13, which consists of eight classrooms and administrative buildings, amounted to one hundred million old ouguiyas, while the new secondary school is made up of 16 classrooms, and its total cost is estimated at MRU 15 million at the expense of the Mauritanian state budget, provided that the works shall be completed within six months.
These two projects are supervised by the Ministry of Housing, Urbanism and Land Reclamation and Iskan company in favor of the Ministry of National Education, Technical Training and Reform.
