Mauritania strongly condemns Attacks Targeting State of Kuwait and Kingdom of Bahrain

Nouakchott

Mauritania has strongly condemned the heinous attacks targeting the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming its full solidarity and support for the two brotherly countries in the face of any threat to their security and stability.

This came in a statement issued Wednesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, a copy of which was obtained by the Mauritanian News Agency.

The text of the statement is as follows:

“The Islamic Republic of Mauritania expresses its strong condemnation and vehement denunciation of the heinous attacks targeting the sisterly States of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the flagrant violation of their sovereignty and territorial integrity that these attacks constitute, as well as the endangerment of civilians and civilian infrastructure, in clear contravention of the principles of good neighborliness, the rules of international law, and the Charter of the United Nations.

Mauritania affirms that these attacks pose a serious threat to security and peace in the Middle East and the world, and declares its full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain in all measures they take to protect their security, stability, and the safety of their citizens and residents.

Nouakchott: June 3, 2026.”
