The Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohamed lemine Ould Dheby, signed with the Director-General of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), Mr. Hani Sonbol, three framework agreements between Mauritania and this international corporation with a total financial envelope of 600 million US dollars.
This amount will be allocated to finance priority projects in our country, particularly in the following areas:
1. A credit line, in the form of murabaha, for the Mauritanian Electricity Company (SOMELEC) to import fuels.
2. A credit line, in the form of murabaha, for National Mining and Industry Company (SNIM) to import fuels.
3. A credit line, in the form of murabaha, for the Mauritanian Central Purchasing center for Medicines and Medical Consumables (CAMEC) to Import medicines.
The Minister of Finance signed these agreements with the Director-General of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation during his participation in the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, which were hosted in the Uzbek capital, on 1- 4 September 2021.
