President of Republic Holds Phone Call with Emir of Qatar

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, held a telephone call today, Sunday, with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar, to review the latest security developments in the region.

During the call, His Excellency the President affirmed the Islamic Republic of Mauritania’s categorical condemnation of the missile attacks targeting the sisterly State of Qatar. He expressed Mauritania’s full solidarity and its rejection of any aggression aimed at Qatari territory or sovereignty. Furthermore, he called for a halt to the escalation and the prioritization of peaceful solutions to preserve regional security and stability.

For his part, His Highness the Emir of the State of Qatar expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mauritania for its steadfast and supportive positions toward the State of Qatar.
