Prime Minister Presents Government’s 2025 Performance Report and 2026 Outlook to National Assembly

His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Djay, presented, during a public session of the National Assembly chaired by Mr. Mohamed Bamba Meguett, Speaker of the Assembly, the government’s performance report for the past year 2025 and its outlook for the current year 2026.

The Prime Minister explained that the exceptional achievements presented for the past year, as well as the promising outlook for the current year, embody the far-sighted vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and reflect his sincere commitment and strong determination to implement his two programs, “My Commitments” and “My Ambition for the Nation.” These programs aim to transform the country’s reality and move it toward broader horizons of fraternity, security, development, and justice.

During the session, which was attended by members of the government, the Prime Minister outlined the main pillars on which government action is based, namely: building a state governed by the rule of law with strong institutions and modern, sound governance; creating a high-performing, resilient, and environmentally sustainable economy; developing human capital through quality education and training, with particular attention to young people; providing the conditions for strong national unity and comprehensive social cohesion; and ensuring security and stability for the country while strengthening its presence and role at the regional and international levels.
