Njjago (Kermessen) – December 25, 2025 (MNA) – the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Interior and Decentralization Promotion and Local Development in charge of Decentralization and Local Development, Mr. Yaqub Ould Salem Val, accompanied by the Governor of Trarza, Mr. Ahmed Ould Sid ‘Ab, supervised yesterday evening Wednesday at the Nijaako administrative center in Kermessen district, Trarza region, the launch of the second edition of the annual awareness caravan on the impact of climate change on local development for residents of coastal areas and the role of the population in preserving the environment.
The program of this caravan, organized by the Association of Mayors of Coastal Municipalities, includes an awareness campaign on the importance of preserving the environment, which will cover all coastal municipalities in the regions of Trarza, Nouakchott, and the interior of Nouadhibou.
He expressed his gratitude to the higher authorities in the country, headed by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, for the exceptional care given to this edition and to the beach and the environment in general, praising the significant achievements witnessed by the municipalities across the country in general at present, and by the coastal municipalities in particular, while calling for more.
