On the Track of Emergence

In the life span of a nation, which was embedded by accumulations due to centuries, even millenniums, two years are considered a small amount of its course. Especially when we reckon about a history of exchange and gathering of inhabitants that gave birth to Ghana Empire, Almoravides, Almamiyat and later on the surge of the Republic Islamic of Mauritania .
On the scale of this new Mauritania, only 61 years old, two years span is not that much but comparing to five years mandate they are a good percentage.
That is why we have to mention the occasion of the inauguration and swearing -in of the president of the republic his Excellency M.Mohamed Ould Cheikh Elghazouani on the 1th of August 2019.
The 1th of August 2021…time is running, and quickly for those who have something to achieve.
It is the perfect moment to assess, evaluate, far away disturbances caused by populism surroundings that use to be filled with rooted denials ,refusals of any achievements whatsoever. We are unfortunately in an avalanche of false news making that cause toxic news in order to disturb and spread instability in the society.
These two years opened great greed for change of perspectives. Since the first two weeks of tenure the tone of was felt to give impressions of newly and new ways of governing the country.
New in its expressions taken from profound moral concern of goodness that some believe it is out dated to the point of leaving it.
New as well for the way it cultivates a solid anchorage into what is best of us: the continuous search of equity, the quest of the good in general for all and the determination of measured public management.
New in its way that explains a will to open all fields and arenas: political, cultural, economic and mainly social, the citizen is the main subject.
New also in its essence deeply marked by the truth.
This governance has taken into account the time that witness the world crossing major turbulences that impact states ,their stabilities ,socio-environmental equilibrium, traditional economies… and favoring organized crimes ,terrorism ,all kinds of traffic and cyber criminality.
Securing the country was conceived in strengthening perspective of freedoms because irresponsibility kills the latter.
The absence of ideals brings about fatally the irresponsibility.
In two years period the president of the republic his excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh Elghazouani has made the social justice and education his priorities giving surge to basics of both the republican school and curbing the exclusion curve.
The rapidity of economic growth, the diversity of the economy and its strengthening to face the shocks allow the country to be on the path of emergence.
The president promised to us governance based on moderation and reject of all kinds of excess and discrimination and targeting to bring back social justice for the good of wellbeing of all citizens.
In two years’ time we have witnessed the making of a basement that will serve inevitably to the foundation of new Mauritania –really new –a Mauritania where justice and equity replaces exclusion and tyranny. Where the trust in a modern protective state, in the service of all is restored to take in charge each one of us. Where transparency and seriousness enlighten the road to all .Where righteousness and measurement resists facing the attacks of uproar and disparity created by those who still sow excess and extravagance on daily basis.
The last drawing to this possible approach is the amendments of the government laws regarding the possession of double nationality. The revision is confirming the fundamental choice of doing all or trying to do it.
Equity,equality,justice,brotherhood,solidarity,sharing ..Values that has to be the DNA of the citizen to come thus demanding an inclusive and continuous understanding .Because it is about to build a new order ,social pact to take in charge and fix all the problems facing the modern Mauritania .
It is a country where justice, equity, brotherhood, citizenship are not mere concepts but founding values to be named.
A country where education, health, access to basic services, innovation economy savoir-faire change the people destiny.
