President of Republic Receives UPR MPs for Assaba

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received, Tuesday at the Presidential Palace, the MPs of the Union for the Republic (UPR) party for Assaba.

The meeting focused on the role of the legislative power in strengthening democracy, building the rule of law, and respecting the principle of the separation of powers. They also reviewed the interest of consecrating the representative role of the MPs by listening to the problems and concerns of the populations of their electoral districts.

The meeting was attended by Messrs.:
-Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lamine, Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic,
-Saleh Ould Dehmache, Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic,
-Jemal Ould Yedaly, Chairman of the UPR parliamentary group.
