Prime Minister chairs a Meeting of the Ministerial Committee on the Transparency Initiative in the Extractive Industries

The Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay, chaired this evening, Tuesday, at the premises of the Prime Ministry, a meeting of the ministerial committee on the transparency initiative in the extractive industries sector.
The attendees also listened to a detailed presentation on the transparency initiative in the extractive industries, as well as the recommendations of the initiative’s report contained in the report issued for the years 2023 and 2024.
The Prime Minister issued his directives to the relevant ministerial sectors to review and scrutinize the observations contained in the report, assess their compliance with reality across the various concerned sectors, and implement the recommendations concluded in the report, in accordance with the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani, aimed at promoting transparency in general and in extractive industries in particular.
The meeting also recommended thorough preparation for the upcoming evaluation process in 2026.
