On 20 November, in Rabat, Mr. Hanana Ould Sidi, Minister of Defense, Retirees, and Children of Martyrs’ Affairs, participated in the Ministerial Conference on Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) of child soldiers, held with the participation of 34 African countries, under the theme “Building sustainable pathways for children affected by armed conflict.”
During the conference, the Minister delivered a speech in which he highlighted the special attention given by His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, to the consolidation of peace and security on the African continent, the protection of children and the provision of necessary care, as well as the opening of promising prospects for them to guarantee a bright future for society. He also presented concrete proposals for implementing the Rabat Declaration.
