Foreign Affairs Minister Attends the Launch Ceremony for Simandou Complex Project in Guinea

On 11 November, in Guinea Conakry, representing His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, participated in the launch ceremony for the Simandou integrated minerals and infrastructure complex project.

This massive iron ore mining project, for which a new deep-water port has been specially built to export its minerals, is one of the largest mining projects in the world.
