Food Safety Commissioner Holds Talks With Delegation From Italian Cooperation Agency

On 14 July, in Nouakchott, Ms. Fatimetou Mint Khatri, the Commissioner for Food Safety (CSA), received Mr. Giovanni Agrandi, the Director of the Italian Cooperation Agency for West Africa, based in Dakar.

The meeting focused on cooperation relations between the Commissioner’s Office and Italian Cooperation, and ways of strengthening and developing them, particularly in the field of food safety and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable groups.

The CSA maintains a partnership relationship with Italian Cooperation, through the Food Resilience Support Program in Central and Eastern Mauritania (PRACEM), which aims to support food safety and strengthen the resilience of vulnerable groups in the wilayas of the two Hodhs, Assaba, and Tagant, within the framework of cooperative relations between the two friendly countries.
