Minister of Equipment and Transport inspects the Progress of Works on Road Axes in the Hodh El Charghi

The Minister of Equipment and Transportation, Mr. Ely Ould El Veirik along with the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Hodh region, acting Governor, Mr. Mohamed AbdurrahmanOuld Ahmed Dad, paid a visit yesterday evening, Saturday, to inspect and assess the progress of works on the road axes Amourj – Adel Baghrou and Ashimim – N’ beiket Lhuwash, which are divided into two sections: (Ashimim – Hassi Tajkand) and (Hassi Tajkand – N’beiket Lhuwash).During the visit,  the Minister received detailed explanations from those responsible for these important road projects, focusing on the requirements and issues raised, the extent of progress made, the percentage completed, and the expected timelines for completionThe Minister of Equipment and Transportation held a meeting at the governorate with administrative and security authorities, local elected officials, company officials executing the projects, and representatives of supervisory and monitoring offices, during which he emphasized that it is unacceptable for the works of infrastructure projects to be delayed beyond the established deadlines, with a requirement to fully comply with the agreed technical standards stipulated in the commitment document.

He added that the public authorities, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, are continuously and consistently following up on the execution of this road infrastructure, due to its importance and the citizens’ need for it to break the isolation. He urged those in charge of the works on the Amourge – Adel Bekrou road to open the road for the movement of traffic and the passage of goods between Amourge and Adel Bekrou, especially with the approaching autumn season. During this visit, the Minister was accompanied by the Vice President of the Eastern Hodh Region, as well as the administrative, municipal, security, and military authorities in the districts of Aazar, Amourge, and Adel Bekrou, each in their geographical area.
