Minister of Islamic Affairs Receives US Ambassador

The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, Mr. Dah Ould Amar Taleb, received, Thursday in Nouakchott, HE Ms. Cynthia Kierscht, Ambassador of the United States of America to Mauritania.

The talks focused on different aspects of cooperation between the two countries, in particular in the areas of intervention of the ministry.

The American diplomat expressed her desire to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Original Education in all its areas of intervention and in particular Mauritania’s policy aimed at establishing a culture of tolerance and fighting extremism.
