Mauritania Participates in ECOWAS Trade Ministers Meeting

Nouakchott, 22 October 2020 (AMI)-The Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism, Ms. Naha Hamdi Moukness, participated, on 22 October via videoconference, in the meeting of the trade ministers of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
This virtual meeting aims at assessing, analysing, and approving of the experts’ last meeting report. The meeting also seeks to assess the customs tariff concessions linked to the origin and trade of goods and services, which will be granted by the ECOWAS member countries as a single bloc and negotiating force for the effective entry into African continental free trade agreements, which will come into force on 1 January 2021.
