“Making Encyclopedias in the Arab World” is the Topic of a Symposium for the Arabic Tongue Council

The Council of the Arabic Tongue in Mauritania organized on Wednesday evening at its headquarters in Nouakchott, a seminar on “The Arab Encyclopedias… Reality and prospects”.
During the opening of the session via video conference technology, the Chairman of the Council, Mr. Al-Khalil Al-Nahwi, highlighted the importance of the symposium’s topic in collecting Islamic heritage, reviewing examples of contributions in the field of issuing encyclopedias that the world has known, stressing that Arabs are the people of the lexical industry and have their experience in this field.
Mr. Ahmed Dawla Al-Mahdi, a member of the Arabic Tongue Council, explained that this symposium coincides with the launch of the creation of an encyclopedia of the Arab-Islamic heritage, funded by the Arabic Language Academy in the Emirate of Sharjah, pointing out that the Arabic Tongue Council represents Mauritania in the Arabic Language Academy.
This symposium was attended and enriched by a group of professors, writers, intellectuals, journalists and the Arabic language.
