President of Republic Offers Condolences to Zambian Counterpart

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr.Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent Monday the following telegram of condolences to His Excellency Mr. Edgar Lungu, President of Zambia.

“Your Excellency and Dear Brother,

It is with profound sadness and sorrow we received the death of the founder of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Kenneth Kaunda.

On this painful occasion, I, and on behalf of the Mauritanian people, address to Your Excellency, through you to the Zambian people and the deceased’s family ,my sincere condolences and sympathy over this significant loss. With his passing, Africa has lost one of its most prominent leaders of liberation.
