Mauritania’s Ambassador to the United Nations Office at Geneva presents her Credentials

On Wednesday, Her Excellency Ambassador Aicha Fall Fergus presented her credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, to Ms. Tatiana Valovaya, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva.
During the meeting that followed the credentials ceremony, the Ambassador emphasized the great importance that our country attaches to strengthening the work of the UN and multilateral diplomacy, stressing our country’s continued support to UN agencies in various fields.
For her part, Ms. Valovaya expressed her appreciation for the fruitful cooperation between her office and the Mauritanian Mission in Geneva, noting that she looks forward to deepening cooperation and coordination during the next phase.
She also stressed the importance of our country’s role in revitalizing the United Nations and the challenges faced by multilateral action.
