On Wednesday at her office in Nouakchott, the Commissioner for Food Security, Mrs. Fatimetou Bint Khatri, received Her Excellency Mrs. Laura Botta, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy accredited to our country.
The talks dealt with the existing cooperation relations between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing and developing them, especially in the field of food security and supporting the resilience of vulnerable classes.
Her Excellency reviewed with the Italian Ambassador the aspects of cooperation between the Commission and Italian cooperation in the field of supporting agricultural production and enhancing the resilience of vulnerable classes, especially the program to support agricultural production in central and eastern Mauritania.
For her part, the Italian Ambassador expressed her satisfaction with the level of close cooperation between our country and Italy, especially in the field of supporting agricultural production and enhancing the resilience of vulnerable classes, praising the efforts of the Commission in this field, and emphasizing the readiness of Italian cooperation to strengthen and diversify the partnership with the Commission to serve the common goals.
