Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic delivers a Message from the President of the Republic to his Egyptian Counterpart

CAIRO, 05 November 2024, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdhaf, delivered on Tuesday a written message from HE President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to HE President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The message was received by Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Mr Badr Abdelatty, during a reception accorded to the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic today at his office in Cairo.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister appreciated the Mauritanian participation in the World Urban Forum, stressing the interest in strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, expressing the aspiration to hold the second session of the Egyptian-Mauritanian Joint Committee in Nouakchott in the coming period.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister highlighted Egypt’s interest in upgrading the process of economic cooperation between the two countries through the participation of Egyptian companies in the infrastructure projects that Mauritania plans to launch in the coming period, with the importance of building on the momentum generated by the convening of the joint committee between the two countries to push the process of bilateral cooperation at the economic, trade and investment levels.

Besides, they discussed ways to advance joint cooperation through the involvement of Egyptian companies in various sectors in Mauritania in the fields of energy, agriculture, fisheries and mining, in order to enhance bilateral economic and commercial cooperation and achieve the common interest of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples..
