On 29 October, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Mr. Abdel Aziz al Abdalla Errighabi, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
After the credentials’ presentation, the President of the Republic granted the Saudi diplomat an audience in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the
Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.
Shortly after the meeting, the Saudi ambassador made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency in which he said he was honored to meet the President of the Republic to present his credentials and convey the greetings of King Salman bin Abdelaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
He pointed out that Mauritania-Saudi Arabia relations are long-standing, affirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s determination to strengthen these relations and fraternal ties and promote them to higher and broader horizons.
