Mauritania participates in the Meeting of the African Preparatory Committee for the G20

On the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, the preparatory committee of African ministers of economy and finance and central bank governors to participate in the G20 meeting held next April in Brazil kicked off on Monday in Washington, DC.
The meeting aims to discuss the African Union’s participation in the G20 meeting and crystallize unified positions on identifying Africa’s economic priorities and ways to address common challenges in the G20, as well as mechanisms to enhance dialogue and cooperation between the African Union Commission, African finance ministers and central bank governors in order to formulate common positions and priorities within the framework of the G20.
Strategies to enhance Africa’s participation and influence in shaping global economic policies through the G20 will also be explored.
African ministers of economy and finance, central bank governors, African ambassadors in Washington, D.C., heads of African multilateral financial institutions, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), and stakeholders.
