President of the Republic, AU Chairman heads to Kazan, Russia to participate in the 16th BRICS Summit

HE President of the Republic and President of the African Union Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani left Nouakchott last night for Kazan, Russian Federation, to participate in the 16th BRICS Summit, scheduled for October 22 and 23, 2024.

Upon his departure from Nouakchott International Airport, HE the President of the Republic was welcomed by Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay, the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, the Minister Advisor to the President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Abdallah Ould Osmane, the Minister of Justice Mohamed Mahmoud Cheikh Abdallah Ould Boye, the Minister of Defense, Pensioners’ Affairs and Martyrs’ Children Hanana Ould Sidi, the Minister of Interior, Decentralization and Local Development Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine and the Chief of Special Staff of the President of the Republic. The governor of Nouakchott West and the president of the Nouakchott region.

The President of the Republic is accompanied by an important delegation that includes Messrs:

– Nani Ould Shrougha, Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic.

– HE Dahmane Ould Amer, Ambassador of Mauritania in Moscow.

– Sidi Ould Moulaye Zeine, Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic.

– Hassan Ould Ahmed, Director General of State Honors
