President of the Republic Chairperson of the AU arrives in Abidjan to Participate in the Work of the Conference of African States Dialogue with the IDA

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Chairperson of the African Union, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived Tuesday evening in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

During this visit, His Excellency the President will participate in the work of the Conference of African States Dialogue with the International Development Association (IDA), organized in Abidjan, which will witness several plenary sessions and discussions between heads of state, representatives of financial institutions and development experts, on the management of natural resources and the announcement of donors’ financial commitments and partnerships for future projects.

Upon his arrival in Abidjan, His Excellency the President of the Republic was received by His Excellency the Vice-President of Ivorian, Mr. Timoko Millet Koné, in addition to His Excellency the Ambassador of our country accredited to Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Mohamed Abdoulaye Khatra, and the staff of our country’s diplomatic mission in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Mauritanian community in Abidjan also organized a popular reception for the President of the Republic at the entrance to the airport, where its members raised national flags and slogans welcoming His Excellency.

The President of the Republic will be accompanied on this visit by an important delegation, including the Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh, and the Director General of State Protocol El Hassan Ould Ahmed.

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Chairman of the African Union, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, participated on Monday in the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, held in Hamburg, Federal Republic of Germany.
