President of the Republic, Chairperson of the African Union participates in the Hamburg Sustainability Conference

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Chairperson of the African Union, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, participated on Monday morning in the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, held in Hamburg, Federal Republic of Germany.

Organized by the German Federal Government in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Michael Otto Foundation and the City of Hamburg, the conference will be attended by a number of heads of state and government, policy makers, experts, business leaders, financial institutions and civil society from around the world.

The conference was attended by the Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid’Ahmed Ould Abbouh, and His Excellency the Ambassador of our country in Berlin, Mr. Boubacar Kane.

The conference aims to bring together the views of policymakers, business leaders, academia, the private sector and civil society, with the aim of accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by addressing challenges effectively and quickly, in a world witnessing various conflicts and conflicts that contribute in one way or another to the slow pace of development, in addition to raising awareness of the importance of the participation of individuals and communities in this process.
