President of Republic, AU Chairman, Arrives in Hamburg, Germany

On 5 October, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union (AU), arrived in the German city of Hamburg for a friendly working visit, at the official invitation of the German President, His Excellency Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

During his visit, the Head of State will participate in the German Forum for Sustainable Development in Hamburg and hold official talks with the German Chancellor in Berlin.

Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani was received upon arrival at Hamburg International Airport by the city’s mayor, the forum coordinator, HE Mr. Kane Boubacar, our ambassador to Germany,  and members of our diplomatic mission in Berlin.

The President of the Republic is accompanied by a large delegation including Mr. Nany Ould Chrougha,  the Minister in Charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, Mr. Sid’Ahmed Ould Bouh, the Minister of Economy and Finance, and Mr. El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
