Prime Minister-designate takes over from his predecessor

HE Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay, on Monday at the First Ministry, took over his duties from the outgoing Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Bilal Massoud

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the outgoing Prime Minister, in a statement to the news agency, welcomed the new Prime Minister and wished him success in his great mission for the country

He added that given his great experience, competence and expertise, he will carry out this task to the fullest.

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, thanked the staff of the First Ministry and the General Secretariat of the Government for their tremendous efforts to implement the program of His Excellency the President of the Republic and for their patience with any shortcomings, wishing them a successful administrative career and further health and success

For his part, Prime Minister Mokhtar Mokhtar Ould Ajayi thanked the outgoing Prime Minister and congratulated him on the great work he did during the last phase with the government team and the team of the First Ministry in order to implement the program of His Excellency the President of the Republic in the last term, and to work on the foundations and mechanisms that will help in implementing the program of the President of the Republic and his ambitions for the country in his current term on the basis of which the Mauritanian people elected him in the June 29th elections.

He said that the guidance and experience of the outgoing Prime Minister will constitute a great contribution and a basis for the work that we will do as a team in order to implement this program without delay in order to lift the great responsibilities and responsibilities placed on our shoulders and awaited by the Mauritanian people.

He addressed the First Ministry, saying, “We will meet as soon as possible to study all the files, and in the meantime, follow the method of work that you have been following and no service will follow, pending the examination of the first files and the provision of services that will enable us to live up to the expectations of His Excellency in working in all the tasks entrusted to us for patriotism for the country.”

The task distribution ceremony took place in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet and all the staff of the First Ministry and the General Secretariat of the Government, including charge d’affaires, advisors and centralized directors.
