Palestinian Embassy in Nouakchott commemorates the International Day in Support of Gaza and Prisoners

Nouakchott

The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Mauritania commemorated, on Sunday evening in Nouakchott, the International Day in Support of Gaza and Prisoners, which falls on the fourth of August.

The commemoration of this day comes in light of the difficult suffering suffered by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip from a war of genocide by the Israeli enemy, as well as prisoners in the prisons of the occupation.

In a speech on the occasion, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Mauritania, HE. Mohamed Al-Asaad, said that the aim of commemorating this day is to shed light on the massacres committed by the Zionist entity in the Gaza Strip and the suffering of prisoners in the occupation prisons, and to convey clear messages on these two central issues to the international community.

He added that the Palestinian people are subjected to a war of extermination that crossed all red lines by the unjust Israeli occupation machine, noting that the occupation carries out all kinds of incitement against the Palestinian people.

For his part, the head of the Palestinian police mission in Mauritania, Akram Thabet, explained that this day is an initiative to urge the world to support Gaza and stop the genocide and torture to which the Palestinian people are subjected, stressing that the war in Gaza has exceeded all borders and violated all international conventions.

The interveners also condemned the war waged by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people.
