The director of the Agency for the Promotion of Investment in Mauritania (APIM), Ms. Aissata Lam, signed, Thursday in Nouakchott, a cooperation protocol with the chairman of the High Council of Middle East Businessmen in Turkey, Mr. Ahmed Baïroudi.
The agreement aims to support investments in Mauritania between Turkish and Mauritanian companies.
In a speech on the occasion, the APIM director indicated that the signing of this protocol between Mauritania and this conglomerate aims to facilitate the exchange of information and the reception of local investors from Turkey and from the Middle East who are wishing to visit Mauritania.
For his part, the chairman of the High Council of Middle East Businessmen in Turkey said that the council has met several members of the Mauritanian government and sought many investment opportunities in Mauritania, stressing that the two countries are linked by historical relationships and common factors. He noted that there are important and promising investment opportunities in Mauritania.
