Moroccan Embassy in Nouakchott organises a Reception on the Occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Throne Day

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Nouakchott organised on Tuesday evening a reception on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Throne Day.

The Government was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Trade, Industry, Crafts and Tourism Lemrabott Ould Banahi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Niang Mamoudou, Advisor to the President of the Republic Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh, Advisor to the Prime Minister Hindou Mint Aynina, and Ambassador Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Alia Mint Yahya Menkous.

In a speech during the ceremony, the Ambassador noted that it is a fortunate coincidence that the celebration of Throne Day coincides with the Mauritanian people’s celebration of the re-election of HE President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani for a new term, and offered his sincere congratulations to HE the President of the Republic on his victory in the presidential elections.

His Excellency the Ambassador said that the presidency of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Mauritania to the African Union is the culmination of the achievements of Mauritanian diplomacy in recent years, which is reflected in the active presence of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in various international forums and has made it a reliable destination for various partners.

He praised the distinguished relations between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Morocco, reiterating in this regard the various fields of these relations, which are based on mutual respect and fruitful and constructive co-operation
