“Yuna” participates in the Caucasus Investment Forum in Chechnya

(UNA) – The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries participates (UNA) in the work of the Caucasus Investment Forum, which will be held during the period July 15-17, 2024 in Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic, with the participation of more than 2000 guests representing 33 countries.

The Union’s participation comes within the framework of its efforts to strengthen media relations between the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Federal Republic of Russia, and to enhance the participation of media from both sides in major events.

The Director General of the Federation, Mohammed bin Abd Rabbuh Al-Yami, explained that the Federation’s participation in this important event comes within the framework of its coordination roles to arrange the participation of member news agencies in international forums and to enhance joint media action towards them.

Al-Yami pointed out that the Union has prepared a media plan in cooperation with the Ministry of Press and Information of the Chechen Republic, to provide expanded press coverage of the event, thus contributing to supporting the conference’s objectives related to enhancing investment activities and trade exchange between the North Caucasus region and the “Islamic Cooperation” countries.

The forum discusses a number of issues, including the development of special economic zones for investors, the development of the tourism sector in the Greater Caucasus region, in addition to technological tools for communication with the business sector, the integrated development of the sanatorium and resort industry in Russia, energy infrastructure as a basis for the development of southern Russia, biotechnology and the digitalization of agriculture in Russia.
