On 25 April, in Nouakchott, Mr. Nani Ould Chrouga, the Minister of Oil, Mines, and Energy, government spokesperson, held a meeting with a delegation of European industrialists and players in the field of green hydrogen and investment, currently visiting Mauritania, led by HE Mr. Gyilym Jones, the ambassador, head of the European Union delegation to Mauritania.
Organized jointly by the EU delegation to Mauritania and the Ministry of Oil, Mines, and Energy, the two-day visit aims to strengthen ties between partners and the Mauritanian authorities to strengthen the presence of European players in the low-carbon hydrogen sector and accelerate the energy transition in Mauritania.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the needs in the context of the Hydrogen Code implementation and the action plan of the roadmap for developing low-carbon hydrogen.
