President of Republic Supervises Ceremony Honoring Winners of “Mahadra Texts Knowledge, Understanding” Competition

On 24 April, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, supervised the ceremony honoring the winners of the fourth edition of the competition of the President of the Republic Prize for Knowledge and Understanding of the Mahadras Texts.

The President of the Republic awarded the first prize of the competition, in the amount of five million old ouguiyas, to Mohamed Naji Abderrahmane, while the Prime Minister awarded the second prize, in the amount of four million old ouguiyas, to the second winner, Mohamed Abderrahmane Ould Mohamed Tayeb.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education awarded the third prize of three million old ouguiyas to the third winner, Mohamed Lemine Habib Demed, while the secretary general of the Association of Mauritanian Ulemas delivered the fourth prize, in the amount of two million ouguiyas, to the fourth winner, Mohamed Moustapha Babah.
