Mauritania Condoles Iran Over Kerman Blasts

On 9 January, in Nouakchott, Mr. Ahmed Sid Ahmed Die, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, Acting Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, offered condolences on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the blasts in the Iranian province of Kerman.

In the official register of the Iranian Embassy in Mauritania, the Minister recorded the following text of condolences: “On behalf of the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, I extend to the government and people of the Republic Islamic Republic of Iran my deepest sympathy and solidarity following the tragic blast in the province of Kerman, which left many innocent people dead and injured.

In this sad circumstance, we reiterate our rejection of all desperate terrorist acts targeting peaceful civilians, regardless of their purpose or justification.

We implore Allah Almighty to bless the victims, console their families, and grant speedy recovery to the injured.

We belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.”
