President of Republic Oversees Launch of ‘Hewiyeti’ Application

On 26 December, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, supervised the launch of an information application called ”Hewiyeti”, which will allow citizens to electronically access their data quickly and safely.

This application will allow citizens to submit requests for various official documents, such as identity cards, passports, and four certificates (marriage, birth, divorce, and death), from any point in the world, thanks to an application available to every citizen to download on their phone.

The application also allows you to pay the costs incurred to obtain these documents, determine the appropriate civil status center to receive them, and follow the request to know the stage it reached.

During a meeting held at the headquarters of the National Agency for the Population Register and Secure Documents, His Excellency, the President of the Republic, was briefed about the technical procedures linked to this request and the modalities of its management, following on the ground the procedures for submitting requests for civil status documents and the mechanisms for processing these requests by the Center.
