The Minister of Digital Transformation Meets the Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Digital Cooperation Organization

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Innovation and Modernization of Governance, Mr. Mohamed Abdallahi Ould Louly, met at his residence in Geneva with the Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Digital Cooperation Organization, Mr. Hassan Nasser, Head of the Organization’s delegation, at the e-week of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), held in the Swiss capital from 4 to 8 December.

During this meeting, Minister Çavuşoğlu presented the prospects for the development of the digital economy in Mauritania, highlighting our country’s determination to strengthen international cooperation to make the most of the opportunities offered by technology to accelerate growth and achieve major economic balances.

The Director of the Office of the Digital Cooperation Organization praised Mauritania’s vision in this regard, expressing his organization’s readiness to accompany our country in its digital strategic directions.

Mauritania is studying the possibility of joining this organization, which is one of the most important international actors in the field of digital economy.

The mission of the Digital Cooperation Organization is to promote the common interests of its members’ ecosystem, to develop a digital economy that achieves well-being and inclusion for all.

Its vision is to ensure that every individual, every institution and every country has a fair chance of benefiting from the digital economy to thrive.
